I have spent my entire life on the East Side of Madison. I am a proud Eagle Scout and a product of our city's public schools.

As the son of a carpenter and an educator, I learned the importance of hard work from a young age and what it means to show up for your community.  My very first job was as a dishwasher at the Chocolaterian Cafe, working my way up to being the manager.

After graduating from Edgewood College, I bought my first home right here in District 16. I've seen Madison grow and change over the past 26 years. I know what our city has to offer, but I also know that it is not working for all of our residents.

I have always fought for positive change in our community. From sitting on my dad's shoulders during anti-war protests to walking out of class in 7th grade to oppose Act 10, I have spent my life speaking out against what isn't right and imagining a future where everyone can thrive.

In 2018 I worked on Governor Tony Evers' first campaign, traveling across the state and listening to what Wisconsinites want and expect from their elected leaders. I still carry the lessons from that campaign with me – that we must do what is in the best interest of the next generation and leave our communities stronger and more prosperous for all who come after us.

I now work as the Policy and Advocacy Director at Fair Wisconsin, our state's only LGBTQ+ civil rights and political advocacy organization.

Serving on the Richmond Hill Condo Association Board and getting to hear my neighbors' hopes for our city has shown me the unique opportunities and challenges our district is facing.

All of these experiences motivated me to run for council, and I believe the skills I've gained along the way prepare me to be an effective alder.

My time in civil rights advocacy and local leadership have taught me how to listen, lead, and advocate for others – especially the most underserved members of our community.

I'm committed to fighting for my neighbors, for our values, and for positive change as our city continues to grow. I look forward to rolling up my sleeves and delivering for our district, and I hope you'll join me.
